MBEST Visioning Exercise In 2010, UCSC Chancellor George Blumenthal announced plans to reduce the footprint of the MBEST Center and to consider alternative employment-producing uses for other parcels. In March of 2011 a visioning exercise was launched with the assistance of Barry Long of Urban Design Associates. Stakeholders include UCSC, the 17th Congressional District, FORA, City of Marina, County of Monterey, and higher education institutions throughout the Monterey Peninsula. The results of this visioning exercise will be posted here. |
